fit on a 97?

hey i kno it says till 96 but why wont it fit a 97? i have a 97 328is will it not fit?

The kidney's are actually smaller on 97+ E36's. And therefore the opening in the metal kidney holder (can't remember the name now) is too small to fit a gril thats made for 92-96 E36's!

Those look like they belong on a 96+. Pre 96 has the grills sunken in.
