95 E34 as a beater for my old man

To all the fellow E34 owners,

I am looking to get a 95 E34 as a daily driver for my old man. This car will also serve as a winter beater for me.

From the trader the 95 525i ranges from $5K to $10K with similar mileage (from 160K to 190K km).

A few questions.
1. Is this car still reliable at these ages & mileages?
2. How much should I expect to spend, e.g., $2K, to get the car into a good condition for day to day driving?

do the regular maintenance and don't abuse the car and it should have some good years left in it



P.S good choice, e34's are the best looking of all bmw

Is there anything I should look for (questions to ask) when I am selecting the right car? My preference is to find a 1995 525i with less than 150K km on it. Thanks.
