New Z4??

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering if there are a lotta members out there with Z4s cuz I don't see very many threads. I drive an SLK but I've always loved the look of the Z4. Especially the rear...I was tailing a Z4M Roadster all the way from downtown Adelaide street up to 404 + Eglinton because I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It was (Montego?) Blue with black softtop...

I'm really new to the BMW side but I've always been interested!

Also, the Z4 was launched 2003 I believe (please correct me if I'm wrong)...will it be long before a new one comes out? (is E85 the current one?)

New Z4 - E89?

Actually upon reading a few things...

It seems to be expected around 2009.

This link below has one spy shot that looks very similar to Honda's S2K...

Yes, the Z4 (e85) was launched in 2003. and the M version is 2006 along with the coupe.

I'm hoping that once the new M3 comes out the Z4 will follow suite with the V8

yeah the new Z4 = E89 should be coming out in a year or two.
last i heard my company (magna) was supposed to get all the body panels to make the dies for it. kicking off sometime april or may this year. so i guess 2009 sounds about right for the new release.

2003 e85 & 2006 e86 (Coupe) - Speculation is 2008 for a new Z model, if one gets produced at all. Z cars have not proved profitable in a Global sense for BMW. Most of the buzz on a new z is around two potential platforms, one bigger and one smaller with engine configurations ranging from the expected 4.0l V8 from the next gen M3 to the 335's bi-Turbo. Try this site for Z's!
