if your on a budget and all you have the the purchase price of the vehicle, DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!. There is a great chance that you will have repairs in the near future with this many kms and that can be costly. This is not a japanese econobox that all you have to do is change the oil and put gas in it.

You don't want to do that! BMW != reliability.

Mileage seems high
Mileage does seem high for the price. I'd look at an E36 or pay a bit more for a lower mileage E46.

Black book is irrelevant, be more concerned about "real world value"
I think $11k taxes in is an absolute rip off!
You should be able to get a private sale car with 80k less mileage for that kind of price...
On a total aside - What do you guys think a 99' 328i with 320,000km is worth??

this guy is selling the car for 9600 plus tax (approx) approx
if this car is cert & e-tested, i donno how you can say its a rip off
a vw jetta is going for this price if not more... the average 2000 328 costs 15,000+
just have the car checked out at a bmw specialist.. make sure everythiing is tip top and thats all, nothin to worry about
look at it this way, this car will last at least 5 years
9600 divided by 5 years is 1920
1920 divided by 12 months in a year is 160 $
no where will you ever find a lease on a e46 for 160 $ plus taxes
and after the 5 years, it still has some kind of value, and ur not just giving it up to the dealer for nothin or have a buy out price

well its been some time now its been sold
now i am looking to spend more and get a car with less km
i found at dealers 01-330ia sedan 160km $16500
private 01-330ia sedan 110km $17500
my main debate is if i should go for 330 or 325 , and now i want one at least 2001
insurance cost is no issue here
as i got quoted $135/mth full coverage for an 03 -325
oh yeah and it has to be a sedan as i have a 1 month old baby

I'd recommend a 330 over a 325 any day. No comparison. Try driving a 330 before you decide between the 2.

yeah i will as the last bmw i drove 5 years ago was a 97 - 328
would a 330ia -automatic- still have balls ? even though it would not be manual ?
i am not looking for a racecar but would like to have something under my foot when i need it
i dont plan many mods , rims, red/clear tail lights, indash pioneer, and thats pretty much it
xenon lights , but i hope they come on the car from the factory

330's in auto are still plenty powerful. Nevertheless, the same car with 3 pedals will rock the shit out of you. These car's are pretty fast - or maybe just feel a lot faster than they are - when in manual transmissions vs. auto.

Yup, a manual is definetly the way to go, though the auto's are very peppy as well, they both break loose, the stick just a lot easier than that auto.

The used car business is so shaddy, what ever you do have a garage check the car out first.
