E36 19x8.5?

Would a set of 19x8.5 all around look weird on an E36 sedan? I'm really considering getting a pair of BBS CH, but unfortunatley they're 19s. My car is all stock exterior wise. I'll most likley put a splitter on (non-M bumper). I would definetley need a drop and fender rolling to pull off the look, right?

BTW, everyone thinks my car is dropped as it is, but it's just the sport suspension. I don't know why it looks so much lower than other E36s...

Rim/tire specs: 235-35-19 offset 35

Do not get rims before lowering you car, it never looks good, especially with 19".

Here is an example of an e36 with stock bumpers and 19" rims

It looks ok, but it has a nice drop, if it has a lip it would look much better

P.S. You car is lower than other e36 because of
1. someone installed springs before you
2. your springs sagged.

Thanks for the pic, kind of puts things in perspective lol.

With regards to my lowered look, how can I tell if the springs sagged? Is this indicative of lots of wear and needing replacement, or is it normal for springs to "sag" like they're settling, after a while? I also seriously doubt the 56 yr old man who was the first owner dropped the car LOL.

Also, here are the rim/tire specs:
235-35-19 offset 35

EDIT: Someone please fix the title to 19x8.5 not 19.8.5

235 is a bit wide.
Mitch runs 225 on the same rims and they barely fit.

Yes, its normal for springs to sag

I don't think 35mm is going to be enough offset. I used to run 19x8.5 and 19x9 and the 8.5's had like a 40mm and they still rubbed the fender lip

Damn I love BBS CH rims too *weeps*

It seems that most have ET40 with their 19x8.5s...

I'm thinking of going with a lip and 19x8.5 ET 35 all around. What do you guys think? Is the offset good enough?

Love the rims too, 19's will feel harder on stearing wheel and also ride will not be enjoiable in high speeds. Pritty shure they come in 18's also.

Speaking of BBS, Breyton is also reptuable as BBS in fact I find Breyton got more selections.
They are about the same price range

Hmm.. I'd definetley go for the 18s, but the 19s look oh so good. Plus, a good deal is available locally, so I'm quite keen on 19" BBS CH, otherwise if I have to resort to 18s, I'll just get some CSL replicas or ASA AR2s.
