hmmmm, what to do....
I'm getting a CDT 3 way component set, the HD-642 to be exact. And I have aftermarket kick pods that I bought off of Justin e36. So I have a few ways of setting up my front stage and was wondering maybe some of you guys had some suggestions on which would be the best way for imaging and what not. Just for some other details, they'll be running off of a Genesis 5 channel with 2 channels bridged for each side, so they'll get lots of power, and a JL 15W6 will run the low end. Car is an E36 coupe.
So now finally the options...
1) use kick pods for woofer, place mid and high into stock door positions and put a fake tweeter in the kick pod.
2) woofer in kick pod, mid in door, tweeter in kick pod.
3) woofer and tweeter in kick pod, don't use the mid (2 way set-up) or
4) woofer, mid, and tweeter in stock locations (forget about the aftermarket kick pods).
I'm leaning towards 1 or 3. How easy is it to replace the mid's and tweet's in the doors?
