BMW NA cluster replacement

Has anybody heard anything about BMW NA replacing clusters after the warranty for burnt out pixels? I seem to remember reading a thread on Bimmerforums that covered this topic, but I can't find it for the life of me. I'm sure there was talk in it about BMW exchanging the clusters because the mileage was becoming unreadable. My cluster odometer pixels are starting to have issues, and while I don't really care, I would get it taken care of if it was cheap.

Maybe someone here works for BMW and can confirm or deny this claim.
Thanks, Dave

i dont think that applied to the e36's i thought this was only for e39's but not 100% sure. if the SI pixels are burnt out, its not hard to find a replacement SI, actually i think i have one laying around at my mom's house. you just need to replace it (easy to do) and get it reprogrammed which im not even sure you will need to.
