FYI: Bikes fall into 4 main Categories; 1)Touring/sport 2)Cruisers (like harleys or something like goldwings), 3)supersport (closest bikes to track bikes) 4)off road/enduros .

BMW bikes are nice if you want more of a touring bike. They don't even compare to the supersport japanese and european bikes that most of the guys here are talking about. BMW makes great motorcycles but they are in more of a touring(comfortable crusing) category. The riding position is completely different on a BMW bike than it is on a supersport streetbike. Also the wheelbase on most BMW bikes is not as short as most of the supersport bikes. Overall BMW bikes still produce good power, are less agressive in design but still fun to cruise up to the cottage with.

Now yes they have sport, but don't get them confused with supersport bikes. If you read my previous thread properly they are sport/touring bikes. Again very diferent than supersport.
Crotchrocket, if you think about it, all bikes are crotchrockets but usually when you say it most people will automatically think of supersport bikes.
There are major differences between sport and supersport bikes starting from engine displacement all the way to brakes. Supersport bikes are waaaaaaay lighter too. If you want to talk bikes i'm ready anytime.
