Brief summary of purchase and experience to date.
- Deposit made in January
- Production date confirmed between February & March
- Car manufactured May 23rd - #158 - first customer car was #33 in the U.S. - As near as I can determine, mine was the first registered customer car in Canada - there's approximately 6 now
- Stealership gave me no discounts - BMW.CA pricing - They are putting the OE iPod interface in for me free of charge
- Driving experience: Still in break in period, however, car feels like driving a Go-Cart with unlimited power - motor is very flexible wrt RPM range (<5,500 for 1,100 more KM) and seems to behave very well in traffic. This thing has great eye appeal - If I was 20 something again

. Visibility to the rear and sides is not as difficult as some have reported due to the wonderful side mirrors - There is however limited rear distance visibility. Suspension is stiff, however it is a sports car. I can't wait to get this thing out to Shannonville!
Dislikes: Driving position relative to the pedals and steering wheel was a little difficult but now worked out. The Clutch CDV valve must go. There's some funky ergonomic things that should have been better thought through and engineered; Drink holders terribly located, BMW assist in a difficult spot to activate, aft storage compartment behind and in-between seats is pretty much useless if your sitting in the car to access, glove box too small for the BMW owners package.
Overall, I'm thrilled with the car!
