Couldn't you just put some electirical tape (to eleminate it's ability to establish an electrical connection) on the number 1 and 5 post's of the canadian version... effectively making it the same as the US??

FYI: I have a US car and it didn't orginally have a module in place to begin with, all the lights worked fine. Needless to say, to pass the federal inspection (and the Ontario safety check) I had to install the Canadian DRL.
thank you very much for ruining my sales, one buyer decides to try your
taping idea.

i had tried the same taping method to disable my corner lights, because of
the heat, the tape melted and made a nasty mess. At the end, I had to
replace the whole bulb connectors.

Again, you can sell your DRL to US owners, why ruin a perfectly fine DRL
module?

Another sales pending, btw, I will let you know

Let me know V.B.

I could see the mess it would make. I'd rather do it the right way the first time, especially for $20 shipped, why do a band-aid solution?

Yes! This only works on NEWER E36's... 1995+ so it seems.

For you to disable u'r DRL's, you need to open u'r fuse box and re-wire... I've done this on on Max members car already (Stephanies) car so far for her low-beam DRL's, but still haven't done the parking lights.

I will be compiling a DIY soon enough, but be prepared to run new wires, etc into the fuse box and start soldering. BMW hard wired the DRL's/Lights on the early E36's like yours.
