18inch or 17inch?

I see quite a few of the e30's some of you have are running 18's - what is the ride like (comfort wise)? Would I be better off running 17's if I want comfort and handling? Although 18's would look sweet...

I would say go with the 18's. If your car is really low it will look nice. My car rides very nicely, and handles extremely well. The only downside to 18's with 35 profile tires is that you have to watch out for sewer lids, and other large imperfections on the roads. I am trying my friends 19 inch wheel next week to see how it fits. Good luck

Nice! Did you have to cammber your wheels at all? Do you know if you have to get a camber kit to camber e30 wheels or is there already one on the car?

I prefer 18's. But some don't like the ride quality ....

I love how the bigger rims tuck under the fenders.Looks aggressive.

If you want a good compromise,gt 17's.

Actually, that is the only downside i have to say about lowering a car 3.25 inches. My rear wheels are really inwards. It looks great, but at high speeds exiting a highway in a corner the back end tends to "slide", which makes it somewhat dangerous. I don't race my car nor do i drive it everyday, so this isn't a concern for me.

Sheesh, well why not just make it an even number and get 20's . I couldn't even imagine 19" on an e30, what kind of 19's are they? Hopefully they ain't chrome cause they'd probably weigh a ton!
