Questions about the navigation install
Hey guys,
Im a fresh newb to this maxbimmer, so i was hoping maybe u guys can help me out. I just bought a steel grey 330 convertible. havent done to much to it yet. got 19 inch ROH rims on it. i ordered almost every DINAN part availble from Cross Avenue Auto. and for now im looking for a navigation system. my car has every option available exept navi . so i was just wondering once i buy the screen, is it a straight plug in into the car or is there any other tuners i need to buy? one more thing, does any navigation system work for my car?, like does the x5 ones fit and the m5 ones????
thnks for everything
... cheers

I'm confused. Do you want it to look like an original BMW Nav system? If so expect the bill to be quite high. You'll need a lot of wiring done, a whole new dash and then the screen itself which isn't cheap.
If your looking to get an aftermarket navi system, like a deck with flip out screen, it'll all work if installed correctly.

I did a full OEM nav retrofit, its very $$$$. You need a lot of parts, and the install is long and the ECU needs to be flashed. Look to spend around $5000CAD on it if you want to go OEM, if you buy all new OEM nav parts. I have heard that Munich Motors uses used kits and they do it for about half that, so you might want to check that option out.

Some parts have to be changed, the climate controls have to be moved and such.
