okay, so i bought a code reader for my 2001 330ci. works great, found out what's wrong - says it's the "intake camshaft position sensor". i just have one question. what the hell does that mean?
it runs fine, just has a rough start if the engine is hot. i.e. drive somewhere, turn off engine, leave for 5 minutes, come back turn back on with a delayed turn over.
Okay, so I replace the sensor. Everything's working great on the test drive. So i drive to work. On my way home, the light's back on and the car died once.
I Had The Same Problem Last Week, you Changed The Intake Camshaft Sensor, now Check The Exhaust Camshaft Sensor. The Intake Sensor Died On Me, I Fixed It And Then The Exhaust One Died,on Some Generic Reader It Would Only Read Code 56, Camshaft Sensor.
