i think a 330i upgrade looks more easier from what you described. Are the 330i and m3 brakes similar in breaking power?

They're very similar in braking power, the M3 front rotors have a bit more mass to absorb heat, but aside from that they're the same. Now that I think of it, you MAY need a master cylinder swap on the 330i brakes as well if you do the front and rear.

ive been doing more reading.
it seems like the 3.2 evo has vanos issues. and its a double vanos unit at that. The repairs on that unit ain't cheap.
so now im totally contempating on what to do

The S54 also had double vanos as a note. Anything can go wrong on any engine, it's a chance you take.

does the evo motor with 321 hp OBDII??? does it need to be converted to OBD1 for any reason??

Yes, it's 321hp in stock form, and yes it's an OBDII engine. It can be converted to OBDI, but I can't imagine spare OBDI S50 wiring harnesses and ECU's being all that common on their own.

OBD2 has alot of stuff done to limit emissions, has more o2 sensor, etc. OBD1 is more tunable.
