re: RMP
If anyone is currently looking for a shop to bring a vehicle in for inspection to decide on purchasing, I highly recommend RMP. I brought over a 97 318i, and it took them less than 1 hr to give me and the seller an indepth inspection list on what was wrong with the vehicle. Best 65 dollars i have spent and he prevented me from paying an addition $3000.00 if i went ahead and purchased the vehicle without an inspection. And i gotta thank Rocco for opening his shop 1 hr earlier to accommodate us.
Thanks Rocco.

under the car:
tie rods, suspension bushings, brake rotors (all four) and pads, exterior skin on the end muffler rusted out. one of the steel fuel lines rusted.
Engine (M44 1.9 w/ 116,000 km)
oil leak around the head gasket (when i viewed this car, i noticed after test driving the vehicle for 40 mins that when i looked at the oil dipstick it had white sludge on it), pulley belt needed replacement
Interior: passenger front seat heater inoperable.
All in all, the vehicle for its age (exterior body, and interior) is great, but i was really interested in the condition of the engine and underbody condition. RMP nailed it.

I like to think im a regular at RMP these days(mostly cause my car keeps breaking down). None of these comments suprise me, excellent work and excellent communications are something me and many other members on this board have come to expect from RMP. I know many of us would take our cars to RMP even if the prices weren't so incredibly competitive but hey, im not complaining
