1994 Euro Spec

I have been wondering if the 1994 Euro spec M3 has a problem with the rear pan ripping out. I do know the this was a problem with 3 series pre 1996. Any info would be appreciated

only the early e36's....92- early 93....never hurts to put in the subframe reinforcement plates the next time you have to take out your gas tank!

the ~$150 parts could save you a lot down the road!

You guys are getting it confused, there are two SEPARATE e36 rear subframe problems.

- rear subframes ripping out on e36's happened up to 97 actually. After 97, the reinforcement plates were installed. Also, all M3's (including euro-spec) came with these reinforcement plates. So there's your answer: eurospec M3's do not have this problem, as the subframes are reinforced.

- The 92-93 subframe issue you guy are talking about is a DIFFERENT problem that only affected the 316i/318i smaller subframes. The design for the subframe was slightly changed in 94+ 318's to address this problem of rear subframe bushings / rear subframe failure.
