Manual Trasmission Fluid

I took my car to get my transmission fluid changed, Mr. Lube put Mobil Sync ATF + Lucas stabilizer..wtf? automaic transmission fluid in a manual.. is that okay? I called bmw and they said they put the same shit in their cars..

uhm...does anybody else have anything to say ? because from what i've learned, tranny fluid should never be mixed with gear oil.....
i'll ask some of the more experienced techs in my shop and then call GT and see what they say...

Yes E36 use ATF fluid, E30's were the ones to use normal Gear oil.
Although your diff still uses normal Gear oil so don't let them screw that up by putting in ATF.

yea from what i understand E36 use ATF, but i'm using Redline D4 ATF

If I were you, I wouldn't put the Lucas stabilizer stuff in there... well it might be just me!

I putted Lucas engine stabilizer in my Toyota and made engine more smooth but don't know about tranny stabilizer..but i think Mobil1 ATF is good enough to stand alone

but i wouldn't worry that too much...just drive...it's not gonna kill your tranny
