Button no worky
So i finally got around to checking out whats wrong with my power lock button.
I went under the hood, checked out the fuses, nothing they are all fine, I pulled the button itself out, the wires look ok going into the button.
How can i test the button it self to see if all i need to do is just put in a new button?
It hasnt worked since i bought the car fyi.
Anyone know how much the stealer charges for the oh mighty button?
Also do i have to like hook up an tester to the plug to see if power is goin through etc??? Im in the dark here someone give me an idea lol please. thanks
Pics of the button in question.

Multi Meter or a Test Light , to see if there's power making it to the switch. (If you test the end of the wires, that black part) If there is power then it's most likely the switch itself.

i think its only like $700 for a new button at the dealership, anyways. so no big deal.
i mean, my rear plastic window was only $670... so you know, the prices are fair.

hey spooner,
so i ordered the rear plastic window from the states... that website:
www.bmw-convertible-window.com
good guy, e-mailed me back quickly and sent the item quickly.
BUT - it arrived, and its not quite the same. i mean, its ok... but the original window looks better, fits a bit better, and i figured: why cheap out on a window?
i ended up buying an original one today from the dealership... the guy cut me a deal and gave it to me for $537
so now i need to see if that guy will take the other one back. hope he does.
im currently waiting to install. the old one is out, and im currently driving around with no rear window, lol. luckily, the weather has been nice here all week, so i've been going top-down. yay!
