noone up for swapping a e36M3 engine/tranny in their e30?

in classifieds section someone is selling a 3.2L M3 engine+tranny+chipped ECU for $6Gs, engine was rebuilt 12K ago by one of the best specialists in town and already converted to OBD1

just for reference i got my 3.0L S50+tranny+ecu(no chip) for like 4.7Gs and i thought it was a great deal.

C'mon people, that's a great opportunity to swap that strong heart into a E30. Charlie (bimmersport) will help out with the swap, it's going to be his third similar swap once he completes mine.

I don't want anymore loans!! I've already got OSAP for first year. Besides, this tired old chassis is not getting any more money into it. I'm on the lookout for a mint early 2 door car. Preferably 318 without sunroof.

Well, if my E30 was salt-free, I'd do it!

Honestly, but i'm sorry that engine is WAY to high!
Keep in mind its almost 10 years old, and even though it was rebuilt recently, the seller is trying to make a killing off the motor. Think about it, he wants to basically cover the cost of his new install by getting CLOSE TO THE SAME for his motor, hes looking at picking up a EURO 3.2 or an S54, which are for sale for in or around the same price!

If he drops it down a few g's, THEN it'll be a good deal!

^ no, have to get diff, driveshaft, brake booster, MC, oilpan, flywheel, clutch etc

the whole thing with all labour would total to about 8Gs
paid $2100 for my mint E30

tell me, can you get a similarly performing sports car for $10Gs ???
