OEM 17" wheel on E36?

Hi, i was looking for aftermarket rims for my e36 320i but is out of my budget so i'm thinking get some used 17" OEM wheel, because i assume they are cheaper and it's OEM quality but is this a stupid or anyone doing this?

another question, is 17" wheel gonna fit e36 without problem or need any work? and how about the maximum width and minimum offset?

yah.... 17's will fit no problem, and IMO they are the perfect size for an E36

Going oem is your best bet as well, in regards to quality, and fitment!

lol, differnt offset, even if it was a decent size. the most important thing to consider when looking for rims, is a proper offset, and of couse nothing overly large

depends on how low, my 17's i have for sale were 17x7.5 with 235 size tires, and i have H&R sport springs on it, i never came close to any sort of rubbing issue.like i said as long as the offset is within the tolerances and of course the rims arent like 22" or 10" wide your really not gonna have much of an issue with size, if the rim, the rubber is what is gonna rub, so depending on how much room you have (lowered) you can decide if you want to go 215,225,235, maybe a 245 if you have a wider rim.

oem 17'' wheels will fit your e36, although they will be more expensive then used aftermarket rims, there are quite a few members selling rims plus rubber, cant beat that.

Hey benny, offset for rims means its the number in m.m. from the centre of the wheel. Like my friend has rims that are plus 20 that means there 20mm from the middle. So plus means towards the outside and minus means towards the inside. Hope that helps!
