For all you people considering to buy a BMW

The following are a few notes that I have for all of you people that are planning to buy a BMW. Please feel free to add ur own comments ...

I bought my first Bimmer ('97 328IS Sport) a little more than a month ago and these are my observations so far:
* Good on gas if driven in a conservative manor.
* Cannot be driven in a conservative manor.
* People WILL make it their business to race you.
* Stability control is actually pretty good.
* The hwy merge lane is useless as you can hit 120kph on the ramp.
* Parts are not too expensive, just don't go to the dealership ($140 for hood shocks!!!!)
* You will want Angel Eyes.
* Stiff steering, stiff pedals, stiff ride!
* Stock radio sucks, compensated by amazing engine growl.
* Everyone wants to drive it even though it's 10 years old.
* Every other car is now boring to drive
* ...

HAhaha, you make some pretty good points, I have to REALLY agree with:

I thought 120km on my old car was fast enough, now more like 140km is too slow. Damn, I'm bound to get a speeding ticket

STEREOTYPE #6: THE BMW DRIVER

This one is far too easy.....There's a reason this stereotype exists and is even acknowledged by the very demon itself. I suppose when you drive "the ultimate driving machine" you simply become and invincible ass. The only defense against this demon is distance. Beware not to get caught up in the vile roadrage spell that is this demon's signature trademark.


Everyone has that time. That first time the car's running great, you just say ****it and mash the pedal into the ground. Happened to me on the way to kingston, following a benz G class. Brought it up to some insane speed, even took a corner at that speed.

you might've already had it. you'll just litterally say wow, out loud.

i pulled over at the next exit. these cars are way too much fun

My buddy just got one of those new GTP's. i realized i was a dick today when he's like OH MAN YOU WANNA DRIVE IT, and i was just like "nah". should've humoured him

I used to get 220kms per 60liters of gas. I blame the nice sound it makes when I go over 6k rpm. Everything u listed is so true though.
