The HID's were probably not made by Chrysler anyways- and I wouldn't be surprised that they got the same HID supplier as Mercedes, who also supply other marques.

yea i've noticed that as well, that and passenger DRL seems to be out on a lot of the ones i see. maybe this is a merc electrical gremlin????

Chrysler does this on purpose- one of the DRL's turns off when the turn signal is on- so that other drivers can see it better. So, if you signal left, the left DRL turns off and v.v. All new Chrysler do this.
