Subframe Damage

Are there any known subframe damages on the e30ís??? The reason Iím asking is because my car makes a knocking/cracking noise from the right rear, when Iím dead stopped and I start off driving I can hear that noise but when I go over bumps I donít hear anything. Iím going to jack it up later today and see if I can see anything

Thanx for the help

I doubt that is the problem...If its knocking on start up, i would rather look at the hanger bearing. Also it is VERY common that the cable for the ebrake comes in contact with the driveshaft, resulting in a clicking sound during take off...The was to check it is drive slowly, when you hear the noise just start slowly pulling on the hand brake, if shound goes away...you found your problem!

That does not sound like a bad subframe bushing, maybe a bad rear wheel bearing?
