I have a 2001.5 1.8T 5-spd loaded that I was thinking of selling............. until I found out what B5's are worth. I think I'll be driving her forever.

Yeah, its sad.
Its been sitting in the driveway all winter...cleaned it off, connected the battery and took it for a spin today.
I'd almost forgotten how nice the ride is.
I've had it for sale since August...and only one person has come by for a look, and lowballed something fierce.
I'm to the point where I need the cash, but not sure what to do. I'm considering trading it in (for substantially less than its worth), so I can at least get the tax advantage on a new(er) SUV, and try to sell our X-Trail...which might be a little easier.
Lesson learned....who knew!

.............. a good A4 B5 is a steal of a deal for anyone looking for a good car for cheap. $11,000 is to low on trade in as well.

IF you find a buyer, trade the car in to the dealer you're buying new from and have the buyer buy from the dealer at the agreed price. Thus you still save on taxes on the new ride in that amount.
