Depends on what fan you have in there...

You need to get under the hood.. unbolt the main wire harness, remove the heater panel on the firewall, behind it will be a snap on blower houseing that comes off to expose the resistor and motor. This will take some time to do!

While your in there clean out any leaves and dirt expecially in the drain.. and inspect the panel seal. use a soft flexable vaccume line to get deep down in there.

Its most likely a #64 1 16 912 633

If you still need the link to replace the part here it is:

http://www.bmwe30.net/cgi-bin/datacg...040&Section=10

You shouldn't need the part number, if you call the dealership with your vin handy they should be able to order the right part for you as long as you don't get stuck with a moron.

WAIT !! heyy before you pay for one

http://e30.bmwdiy.info/blower-resist....html..usually the prongs are corroded..

a cleanup with an emery cloth usually restores your fan speeds

When you get access to your motor and resistor, its either the pin resistor or the 4 spade resistor, im betting on the spade resistor.

if its the spade connections, i can help you with a part # i just got mine in the mail today, installed it, and it works great. I got it from autohausaz.com if your interested.
