Custom exhaust?

Has anyone run a custom exhaust. I know all the americans claim it is better and cheaper but I am skeptical it would be cheaper. Shops in Ottawa anyways seem to cost and arm and both legs for any type of work never mind building exhaust sytem. Just wondering if any canadian guys have done it and wouldn't mind sharing price and setup they went with. (piping size, muffler, cat) Thanks a lot

I have done a double outlet by splitting each pipe to either are looking about 300-400 for pipe bending and 100 for each muffler (magnaflow) total = 500-600 (depends what type of mufflers you want) oh and tips, total $ 700.

You need to fix the bodywork to the left of the left tip.

Customs the only way to go, and yes, it can be cheaper.
2.25" pipe all the way through and pick up a supersprint exhaust. Id say you will be more than satisfied. Get like 15' of tubing and then all you need is someone to bend it correctly for you.

i picked up Ireland Engineering (shorty) headers used $200 and took my e30 to Dave @ midas in T.O. and got install + high flow cat $500. catback still stock, not bad compared to some shops that wanted $1000 + for custom work. And if you want some sound get a fart can but it's not worth the money. overall i'm was impressed once i went to the track and knocked off 1/2 a second from my time slip (including Dinan chip).
