US Spec M3 has the same MAF as 32x.

If you want to upgrade, you gotta get Euro Spec or 540/740 MAF.
You'll have to get a software though and I've never seen anyone installing it on 328.

325 is the same as 95 M3
328 is the same as 96-99 M3

On an M3 you want to go to a 540 or euro MAF

Mass Air Flow sensor. it measuers how much air is coming into your motor so that the ECU can determine how much fuel the injectors will pulse out.

The MAF on the 325 or 328 isn't a bottleneck, upgrading would be a waste of money.

what about the throttle body. I know dinan makes a throtle body that claims to give about 15hp gain. Does M3 have bigger or do you just get the original bored out to gain the advantages?

The whole intake from the filter to the manifold is identical from the 95 M3 to the 325, and the 328 and 96-99 M3.

A Dinan TB will never get you 15hp. They quote 15 hp with software, and that is being super generous.
