From what I have heard Dinan chips are probably the most expensive with the least amount of gains. For my car it is like 10hp, and for like 400 and whatever american, doesn't seem worth the money.

dinan only makes changes to WOT for their chips. the rest of the rev range is the same as stock. (at least thats what i read before).

WOT = wide open throttle
a chip that only changes that is pretty much useless since you dont drive with your foot to the floor all the time, you want a nice spread across the powerband.

well yea the only time he wants extra power is when he downshifts and steps on it to either pass someone, and during a race you arent half way on the gas right, so im ok with the WOT thing...

From what I have read, the Dinan chip optimizes things at half throttle keepnig a 14 to 1 air to fuel ratio which is the ratio for the best economy, but at WOT it changes the ratio to 12 to 1 which is supposed to be the ratio for the best power.
I have both the Dinan chip and exhaust, my mechanic installed the exhaust (a little too quiet for me) then I drove the car home and installed the chip, from there I took it for a ride and it sure did feel like a big difference in the car. The chip is now 199 USD and the exhaust is 399 or 499 USD, I cant rememer. They both worked out to about 800+ canadian. I think Engineered automotive has exclusibe distributing now because my mech ordered from Dinan and it was shipped to us from Engineered.
FYI, the exhaust is just a re-worked stock exhaust, big and heavy.
