Corner balancing at RMP
We do cornerbalancing at RMP
If you have coilovers and want your car to handle the best it can, you should get the car corner balanced.
If you are not familiar with corner balancing it is when all 4 corners of the car are adjusted in height untill the opitimal balance is achieve (usually 50 / 50) Front to back and left to right for most road racing.
I have a set of very new digital balance scales for this purpose.
For any info on this or more of our services call me at the shop.

I usually charge a $65 setup fee and then an hourly rate for how long it takes.
Every car is different some take 1/2 hour and some take more, there are so many variables that can make it easy or hard to balance.
My GTA Road Race car took 3+ hours to make it perfect, but the better handling was worth it , droped 1+ second of my lap times at mosport.

Nice... so I assume this only applys to people who have coilovers. My question is, what is the preparation for getting a vehicle corner balanced? Remove everything from inside the vehicle, plus trunk, and fill up on gas? Does the driver need to be sitting in the driver's seat?

Its always good to have the car setup the way you would drive it at the track, empty trunk, glovebox, however much fuel you like to run, and of corse the driver in the drivers seat (or something of equal weight)
I can corner balance any car with coilovers

how much is your hoursly rate.
I usually get it done at Mantis Racing in Oakville. They charge me a flat rate with alignment. I think they can get it a bit closer though.
How many cars have you done? What type of cars have you done?

I have done about 7-10 cars in the past year, some street cars and some real race cars.
Bmw's, Vw's , triumph, porsche, etc.
Our hourly rate is $65 an hour,

Should a corner balance be done first or an alignment?

Corner balancing should always be done before the alignment, due to the changes in height when corner balancing the alignment will change.

I don't have an alignment machine, I do Race Track style alignments, I have guages for camber and castor, but the toe adjustment takes too long. I usually do the corner balancing and the camber and castor adjustments the send the car down to another shop I deal with to get an computer toe alignment.
