Any truth to that?

I'm not sure about radar, but Soldo, when I got pulled over the cop specifically said: "I was doing some LASER enforcement... you were doing a little speeding back there.." and then later came gave me a 55 in a 50 ticket and said "I got you going 87 in a 50 but lowered it" so for lasers that's for sure not true. I honestly doubt it would be true with radar, but I don't know..

I got a letter like that in July, my license had been suspended in June, so I kept driving until august, when I had the money to pay the 200 dollars in tickets, and the 150 dollar reinstatement fee. I never returned my license. **** that. But I did get a new one when I paid the reinstatement fee

You know what, i thought of just driving around without my licence. And i wasn't too worried about getting pulled over, but i was terrified that IF i were to get into an accident..... oh man, would i be screwed over. An accident without a licence!

No you wouldn't because right now you have not been personally notified of your suspension. For all the ministry knows your letter was lost in the mail and it's not really official until you have been informed face to face. When you get pulled over the cop will make you sign some paper, make someone else drive your car the rest of the way home and take your license.

Driving with a suspended licence is punishable by a huge fine and Jail time.
Not worth it...
Also it shows up on you drivers abstract and when you insurance renews, you will get the typical insurance/bend you over treatment.

Glad to hear you got it cleared up though. I did the same thing, I got a ticket for not renewing my plate sticker, waited to long and got suspended...Lesson learned.....fight it or pay the fine...
