Finch ave west. re-opens the 23rd(so they say..)
my mom was tellin me today that she seen on citypulse that they are scheduled to the section of finch that was hit by the summer storm on the 23rd of this month. this would free up so much traffic off steeles and sheppard and all the little streets ppl use to bypass finch. plus it makes the TTc run faster for those who use it. (raises hand up slowly in shame ) im just glad they are fininshing up......hopefully

I thought they were supposed to finish in SPRING 2006.
Thats awesome..... I remeber back in the summer when it first happened. My girl told me about it, and said it was like 30-50ft deep. I didn't believe her, but my buddy lives at like finch and sentinal. We walked up to the pit a few days after it happened, and my jaw dropped, it is HUGEEEEEE!
Lets hope they fixed it properly this time, so this kind of thing doesn't happen again!

I remember that day, I got off work early, I had just pulled into my garage at home, and within a minute there was a huge downpour.
