Question?
hi i'm thinking of something my engin on my E30 like give it lil bit more horse power or anything, its a 86, 325, 2.7.. and i dont wanna spend alot because in 2 or 3 years i'm gonna shift it 2 portugal soo i could be my vaction car, because i'm gonna think of gettin a E36 325i... any ideas?

i dont wanna sell it by the way it looks with original panting and the rest,, but how much would a 325is would cost... i bought my E30 for 3,500...
well wait a min i was thinking about selling it earlyer....and getting a E36..

the difference between a 4dr and a 2dr e30 is next to nothing as far as insurance is concerned.

Dont waste ur time trying too make it faster, unless u plan on doing a 5spd swap first.
$3500 is way tooo much 4 that car, you could have got a 325i for that much. Your gonna get next to nothin if u try selling it.

yea but the way it looks its worth it,, it looks like it ccame from the factory just like a week ago theres not one peace of rust on my car and the original paint job is in mint shape...and i wanna fix it now soo like that in 2 years i'm gonna shift it to portugal soo it can be my vaction car.. i go there like every year for like one month all the time.. and by the time its there i have enough money 2 buy another one like 96 E36 325, or a 92 E34 525..

you should consider revising your sentences.. Spelling mistakes make me angry lol.
But anyways, if you want a 4 door, get a 325i. and swap an lsd and a few odds and ends in. You'll have a 325is pretty well. You would want to do the suspension anyways, and the motors are the same in the 325i and 325is.
you can pick up the nice is interior aswell, this is what i did. Im just waiting for this semester to end so i can get an m3 lsd, and get some new struts.
The eta is just not the right car to start throwing alot of money into. Plus, you will never get the money back if you go to sell it. Regardless of the condition.
As for insurance, my 87 325e and 90 325i were the same. 4 door, color, etc, does not really matter once you hit the 15yr plus mark. I say sell the car, throw out a few more bucks and get an is. You will be happy with the difference of the two cars for the amount of money you invested. Take the 2500-3000(maybe) for your car and pick up an is with a few mods for 4500bucks.

well guys & gals, give him a break. he is so deep into this shit($3500 for a '86 325 that looks like it came from the factory just like a week ago & still need some repair(the person who sold him the car is waking up in the middle of the night because he/she is laughing so hard), which he should be paying no more than $2g in a good day), he doesn't know where he is going. he ask for advise on upgrade, not opinion on whether he shall buy this car or not, just give him what he wants. he must be having a hard time with the HONDA boys at work already so he doesn't need these crap here. but for god sake E30Rider, CHECK YOUR SPELLING. also give us some idea how much MORE money u want to sink into this car. we r talking serious BMW money, not pocket change.
