Swapping rotors & pads? advice plz

I just put new rotors and pads into my 91 318is and since.. changed cars for my project. the new car is the same model (no worries), just cleaner in terms of overall body condition and ORIGINAL OWNER..yahaha. now, i've already seated my new pads and have done about 500-1000-1250km of driving with them only using when needed. my question is, would this be a stupid idea? (swapping out the rotors AND pads MINUS the calipers). just no funds available and need to pinch every penny here.
