King Kong-review

so i watched it... all 3 hours + of it!

out of 5 stars i give it 3.5

ill start with the good in the movie,

the ape moved quite well and from my understanding his movements were from an actuall actor, not just computer animated. the fight scene with him battling the T rex's was awsome, very well done, very intense! also the other chase scene with the other dinosaure's was very well done. the story line was very true to the original story, it didnt get crazy with silly modern idea's, the acting was decent, i didnt feel Jack Black was suited for the role, im sorry i just waited for the funny, but it never came... all in all the special effects were really well done.

now the bad sides

my biggest complaint was useless scenes, this movie should have been 2 hours TOPS. there were several scenes that literally draged on 10 min past their point of signifigance the only scene i thought i was truly goofy was in the streets of NY when he was "sliding" on the ice at times square, looked very unreal, the ending dragged out a bit long but it wasnt too bad... mabey im just pissed off cause there wasnt a single tit action scene in the movie.... oh and you dont get to even see Kong until an hour+ into the movie

anyway just my rambling thoughts....

my overall review, go see the movie, its a decent movie, worth the 10 bucks and 3 hours of your life if your into special effects

3.5 seems about right. it was too long.

its the exact same concept as Jurassic Park 2

(I know King Kong was first, but the movies are almost identicle)

i liked the movie, 4/5

As for the long scenes, It seems like the director really wanted to consintrate on charactor background, along with developing the relationship between kong and the blonde...

Good movie, worth the time for me!

just saw it tonight

i'll also give it a 3.5/5

many pointless scenes in the movie and many parts are a jurassic park knock off... too much bla bla bla in certain scenes

It was a great movie, you'd have to be a mature 25 or over to actually appreciate it I'd say, there was a deeper theme than just action. I think Peter Jackson is an amazing director with attention to detail, animation was amazing and so was the blonde.
