Final Engine Disassembly
Finished off the tear down tonight.
First off was the timing chain rail and tensioner.

Hey looking good, i'm in the same deal you are right now. My Q&A for engine guy told me to always store the crank standing up on end. He said laying down the crank will actually warp because all of its strength is form end to end. I quickly went home and moved mine off of the oil pan i had it sitting on. just thought i would let you know. great work so far.

looks like a good project going good.
whats the top of the piston like? looks like a cheese grater.
all those holes or dots look funny...what are they?

In post 2, it is the oil pump screen, not a piston...
