typical toyotal interior cept for maybe the avalon and of course lexus, plain boring, functional and pretty well made, but still you dont get in one and say oooo this is NICE i wanna stay in here for a while.

Toyotas are great cars, and this lil truck with that kinda power is gonna be blowing the doors off most of those mini suv's. Id drive it for sure, but I wouldnt take it over my bimmer.
As for the engines, toyota does reuse their motors, but upgrade them differently. The older 3S-GE and 3S-FE(4th gen celica motors) were the exact same. 2.0L, same block, only the heads were different. The FE heads were fuel efficient. From the 3S-GE came the 3S-GTE, which are known in north america as the Alltrac motors(GT4 in Japan). All same motor, and Toyota guys will tell you what cams, heads, etc fit on different motors. As the years went on, the technology increased, and so did hosepower/torque curves and performance numbers.
Same thing as the guys who build SiR/GSR frankensteins. Block from one, head from the other.

NICE, those are hot, my parents own the highlander but there lease is comming up .....ive always loved toyotas, my Uncles got a dealership and gives us (my extended family) awesome deals, ..
i think ill need to take that puppy for a test drive when it comes out
