It is illegal for a husband to beat his wife with a stick larger in diameter than his thumb.
this was actually the reason for the saying, "Rule of Thumb", except i think they are making half of these up

that's a pretty stupid law considering I can find metal rods smaller in diameter than my thumb & cause shitloads of damage

ill have to remember that, lol
silly as they may be, keep in mind most of these laws were made a LONG time ago, and most all of them dont apply to real life anymore. but they were never removed nor are they enforced anymore.

Fireworks stores may not sell fireworks to Pennsylvania residents.
funny enough this law is actually still enforced BIG time here in PA. You can buy some small color stuff, but anything thats good, can and will only be sold to out of state residents, and to buy it you need to show your license sign an agreement and have ur license photo copied.
