Re: Digitals Cameras

I have Finepix S602 and Iam very satisfied with it. It's similar to 5700, actually they look identical. It's 3.1mp/6x zoom comparing to 5700's 5mp/8x but it's also 600 bucks cheaper. I got a chance to play with 5700 last weekend, and I like the Fuji better. Much easier to use. It feels much more solid too.

The fuji is nice,

but the 5700 has so manyu options and controls, you can pretty much do everything with it

i found the 5700 from ebay for 840 USD. Henrys is way overpriced.

One of the reasons why I bought the s602 because it can be completely manual. (shutter/apperature/whitebalance/iso etc.) 5700 is really nice too but I didn't want to spend 2k+ at that time. If I were you I would drop by Vistek or Henry's and just play around with 5700. When I was getting mine, I had a hard time deciding whether to get G2 or S602. I went to the store, spent 30 min taking pictures with both of them. That helped a lot to decide which one to get.

If you are looking into the 5mp range, then the Sony F-7x7 is for you. It has all the manual controls you want, and the battery is very good. my battery last about 2+hrs, with LCD on.
