M3 - Type of coolant?

Hey all,

What type of coolant are you using? Is it BMW brand only? Or can I use the Prestone stuff?

I can't find any specifics in the manual.

Appreciate your help.

I use OEM coolant. Not expensive, like $25/jug.

And u need a jug of de-ionized water from Canadian Tire. $2/jug.

Same. I use OEM coolant. Just bought some recently. I noticed the BMW coolant is a different color than the regular green. It's kind of dark blue/green in color.
