Winter Rim Setup - Question - M3

What is the smallest rim diameter and width that I can put on a 2002 M3?

What offset?

Do I have to keep the staggered setup?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

17x7.5 at all four corners is ideal, with 225/50/17. That again is ideal.
I have run a staggered set up, with OEM size tires, and the 17" set up, the smaller the better.

Thanks, do you know what offset wheels you purchased? Were you able to go with black steelies? Any wheel you recommend?

no steelies, and dont know the offset sorry, but the 17" were M68 style, but specific M3 winter wheels, so the rears had a special offset.

The size 235/45/17 should be good for your car. If you need brand new tires & rims, you are looking at around $2990 for a set of M3 replica alloy and TOYO Snow tires or $2400 with Hankook.

I know someone is selling a set of 2 months old snow tires(Hanhook) + M66 (replica) for $1990. He bought them in Jan 05 and have using them only for 2 months.

I agree, thinner and taller is better.

I got quoted for a set of wheels/tires as follows:

Rim

17x8 Replica Silver
225/45/17 Continental Viking Snotech
$1300 via Money Order
$1339 via Paypal

The price is reasonable.

17x7.5 will fit a 225/45 tire much better.

You would have to run a spacer out back on those as the offset is to high for the rear.
