what're all those extra switches for?
the car is a 2-door...
why is there 3 switches on the left, two on the right?
what is that extra square switch for on the top right?
and the one right beside the shifter.. looks like something automatic e36's came with or something?

the switch in the middle is i belive to lower and raise the soft top
and the switch beside the shifter is to switch the gearbox from automatic to manual mode, where u need to manually shift from low, to drive (i belive its 4spd) if u dont shift the car will not shift for you'
the 2 switches in the rear are to lower the back quarter pannels of glass

take another look at that middle switch.. it has an UP / DOWN... it's not a toggle switch like in our cars.
the rear switches I suppose are for the rear quarter tiny windows.. to wind them up / down as well.
how about the switch in the top right corner?

I believe the extra switch on the left is to lower/raise all the windows at once.
And there are still 2 switches, on each side other then the one I just described above, it is to lower the rear triangle glass.

the top switches are for the front windows, the bottom switches are for the rear windows, the middle switch is to raise or lower all 4 at once and the square bottom on the top right is power locks. the power top switch is where the heated seats switches are.
he has a reserve bid set, so he wants about 22 U.S for it. do the conversion in cdn, duty(6.1%), gst/pst, A/C tax, canadian inspection(daytime lights, french air bag stickers, child seat restraints), transportation and plus more that i cant think of right now and that car will end up at about $37,000. mine is in the trader right now for $33,500 with a shit load of mods.

there we go.. thanks for that. raise/lower all windows at once... SMART.
If I didn't replace the middle switch on my sedan (usually to stop rear window switches) with a brake light kill switch, I would mod that up myself.
