I watch it casually... I never miss any touring cars tho. Rally drivers are the most under-rated drivers by far. They are some of the best at car control, bar none. I'm looking at an Impreza wagon for the dirt roads near my cottage

BTCC: That was the British touring car championships. GO MATT NEAL! I've following that series for years. Anyone remember Will Hoy or Richard Riddel?
BTM: Too bad BMW doesn't run a factory team. I guess F1 is costing too much to support stock/mod racing globally. I'd rather see them in DTM and BTCC than in F1 although I watch F1 faithfully (I'm just not sure why).
SPEED World Challenge: Rumour has it that BMW will field a works team in GTS next year.

Rally, and rally drivers rule.
I originally wanted to buy an old Audi Quattro and get into rally racing with it (quite a bit of racing in and around cottage country. Then I got hooked on BMW's.......and now I want to do auto-x to start.

The WRC was pure jokes!
All the drivers kept on cracking their windshilds at the exact same spot! Even when they were warned that a branch was sticking out into the middle of the road! The focus was the worst!
Did anyone see the 1600cc's after? They slide much slower, but the same distance as the WRC's...looks much more difficult and much better! But kinda miss the speed of the WRC's after watching the 1600cc's though...
I watch BTCC and Speevision Touring Car- BTCC is not the same anymore...after Audi and Volvo pulled out...those were SICK looking cars. They should not have banned Audi...the rules were a production drivetrain layout...after that BTCC fell apart.

Richard Riddel was my hero in BTCC. I loved the Volvo 850 and the later S40!
Same with back then in the German Touring car when Johann Winklehock drove the 320i STW!
Same with the Austrialian Touring car, Paul Morris in the 320i STW! Now I find it boring just watching the Vaxualls, Opel and Peugeot dualing it out. We need the Audi's, BMW's, and Volvo's back!

I must agree that BTCC is not what it once was but it's still a good way to kill an hour. I miss the Volvo, Audis and even the Contour/Mondeo. I like the addition of the production class. Some of those guys are pretty quick even compared to other works teams in Touring class. Not a lot of mods in production class... It's gotta be scary racing without additional downforce on those English tracks (home of the high-speed, off-camber corner). BTCC needs more constructors for sure.
later,
