Z06 does -100 mph in mid 7 sec, beat that porsche!

ANd 0-60 under 4 sec in 1st gear... lol with good driver i guess...

The new Porsche will definitely have it's work cut out...but I'm guessing it's going to be an absolute beast too. Not to mention...AWD

You do have to consider the total package...not just a straight line number.

Are you saying that Z06 good for straight lines only??? ROfl you a so wrong brother... plus i bet people will get more HP out of that engine!

Huh? What are you talking about? Your statement indicated that YOU were solely talking about straight line numbers!

I was merely mentioning that you CANNOT just talk about straight line numbers.

The weakest point on a Porsche is probably acceleration...behind handling and braking.

I think you need to re-read your post.

Yeah i think i missunderstood you....

But still i think Z06 with its 505 hp will hang with Turbo On the track and off.

Yes it will.

It'll easily beat the 997's N/A.

It'll take a 997 TT to hang with the Z06 on the track, and the strip.

And your right, it'll take nothing to get the 427 out of the Z06 to make crazy power. Shouldn't be difficult to get it to 600HP with a simple H/C kit for about 10G's installed. 700+hp should be as simple as a S/C.

All that power to the rear wheels scares me. I just saw a video of a guy getting run over by a Vette at an autocross event when the guy fishtailed. I'd prefer to have all the power on 4 wheels like the Porsche.

Saw that video too... but if he cant drive and react fast enough... it is way more hard to control AWD if it goes sideways...

Don't blame the car cuz the driver's skill isn't up to par of the car's performance. An autocross is the best place to learn where the limits of your car is, and learn to control your car, especially when it's out of control.

And remember, there's no such thing as too much power...

Your right.

AWD does have a higher threshold point where it will loose control.
But if it does, it is much more difficult to control once it's past that point.
With some skill, one can counteract a slide with a rwd vehicle with tactfully applied power and steering.
