What to do in Ottawa on a Saturady night?
I might be heading down to Ottawa to work next weekend. Just wondering what is there to do on a Saturday night there aside from sit in my hotel and watch TV?
Thanks

Travelling by yourself or with company? Girlfriend, friends, coworkers?
Theres some alright clubs/bars, minglewoods is an alright pub/bar, theres usually some good looking girls there too.
Good place to go eat is blue cactus(good if your going with a girl)
Ottawa is a lot more fun when you go with some friends

Two words: THe drink! Its a bar but it is bumpity bumping on saturday night (get there before 11 or line up)
also might wanna check out Pub 101 Ottawa's newest bar - right downtown on Dalhousie.
If you are a smoker /and or like young girls - Head over the Bridge to Hull and check out Le Bop/ Le Bistro - not 5 minutes from downtown Ottawa.

yeah, let's get a meet going, maybe hit up a bar/pub.
If you want a good bar then I would say "the Whiskey bar" on York st. in the market, or as someone else mentioned, "the drink".
If you want a good pub, then the heart and crown/mother mcguinty's/snug pub etc. (Irish village) on clarence st. Thats if you are down in the market.
If you happen to be on Elgin st, then the best pub is Fox and the Feather. Hence why it is my second home
What hotel are you staying at?
either way, I'm sure I will be out drinking on Elgin, so give me a shout if you feel like meeting up. I live downtown so I am always up for going out. We could always go for a cruize out to merivale, see some cars, then head back downtown and hit up a pub.

Well, I'm going with a couple friends, and we're only staying the one night. And I still have no idea what hotel I'm staying at, but appearently there is a marathon there this weekend that I'm working at (I'm a bike stunt guy), so the hotel is probably somewhere around that.

No clue, all I know is it's some marathon, probably running, sponsored by ING, that's all I know.

It's the ottawa race weekend, if I rember correctly it goes right down Elgin st. then along the canal. all weekend from the 27 to 29. Actually that reminds me it's gonna be a pain in the ass getting out of my parking garage for the 29th cruize...cuz they close off all the streets.
not to mention the people running by my apartment woke me up last year, and they will probably do it again.
