NAD Flagship T773 Home Theater Receiver

This is as good as receivers get. Twin torroidal power supplies with a true 110
watts with all 7 channels driven. Transparent, highly resolving with stunning dynamics. $1900.

In my big system, the T 773 was surprisingly close to the performance of the Parasound Halo combo—amazing, given that, at $2499 retail, the T 773 is less than 25 percent of the cost of the Halo C 2 preamp-processor and A 51 power amp. The NAD had astounding dynamics, with a huge bass drive, seductive midrange, and transparent treble. I was shocked at the quality of sound the T 773 delivered with movies and music.

It's an outrageous bargain that outperforms a lot of stuff at many times its price of $2499. With its upgradeable firmware, it should continue to do so for a long time to come. Performance, after all, is the name of the home theater game, and that's where the T 773 really shines. Highly recommended.

The NAD T 773 is heir to many generations of award winning NAD designs. This exceptional pedigree is evident in both the look and the feel of the T 773, and it is unmistakable the moment you listen. It is NAD’s insistence on creating products with remarkable sound quality at sensible prices that has made NAD the first choice among the most knowledgeable listeners from around the world. NAD’s “Music First” philosophy dictates that we endow our Audio Video products with the same warm involving sound quality that makes music listening so rewarding with our stereo components. This stands in stark contrast to our competitors who view Audio Video components primarily from a “content” point of view, with sound quality far down the list of priorities. Yet the T 773 is second to none in terms of flexibility and up-to-the-minute digital technology.
