Black M5 Dinan badging Race on 401 going East tyoday..

Buddy... you in here.. ??
I was on my way from Jrp Perf picking up some Brake pads for my rears and this Black M5 was tailgating me.. I didn't want to push it to much cuz my brakes are toast and I was on my way to get the pads replaced but when I swicthed lanes to let him gho and saw it was a M5 I said F**ck it! so I got on it he was infront of me I was in 4th (140kmh) he gunned it and I slowly passed him by end of 5th 220 kmh.. he stayed back after that? Wanted to give him a thumbs up.. anyways noticed he had the Dinan badging on left side.. bald dude with shades on..wonderd if he was in here...
What is faster ? E46 M3 or the 2001-20005 model M5s?

At high speed, the M5 is faster. Power/drag, the M5 wins.

You're not the only one who likes the old model better, looks wise at least. The torque band is insane in that car too, you literally get stuffed into the leather at ANY RPM.

Damn! I can't remember the mods on your Subaru...Sti - right? A Stock M5 is almost 400 HP. I wonder if it was real, or just badging?

m5 has no chance!

i chew m5's up all day long in my e46 m3 first off they have v8 4.0 400hp(same motor they are going to put in the 07 m3 can't wait). If they are both stock cars from a dead stop the m3 will pull far enough ahead there wouldn't be enough room for the m5 to catch up top end.Starting at about 80 mph m3 would pull away m5 would start to pull at about 135-140mph but usually someone either runs out of room or balls by that point so based on reality the m3 wins based on the numbers and theory top end the m5 would win.I've done both of these examples several times usually same result each time.

sorry i'm not good with mph-kph off the top of mt head.

It is!

and to calculate miles to kilometres...take your miles and multiply by 1.6. Reverse the operation (divide) to calculate kms to miles.

The S62 is not going into the E90 chassis.

yes your right it's not the s62 engine but the people that i've talked with for comparison sake made reference to a modified version of that motor which would be a v8 putting out about 400hp with the car weighing about 200lbs less by using aluminum fenders as well as the hood amongest other things.
