Insurance/Ontario plates question

Ok, I have phoned and got a quote for insurance, and I just got my car safetied so I have that certificate. My car is 20 yrs old so it doesn't need an e-test.

I am changing from BC - Ontario plates by the way.

Anyway, my question is, do I go to the insurance people first, then go get my plates? Or do I have to go and get plates, and then take them to the insurance people.

Thanks!
