what do you guys think about a chip for a 2001 330ci? what kind of gains can i see which chip do you recommend and also how much would they go for and were to get them

i have a e46 m3 as well as my friend and we both upgraded the software at the same time he got the shark injector i got the dinan although shark advertises 9whp gain and dinen has 0 hp gain my m is much quicker than his now.Dinan tweeks your rev limits gives you better low and mid range response at the track i'm consistently 2-3 tenths of a second quicker than him quarter mile. you can find dinan at your local bmw dealer(not all dealers have dinan performance).also dinan doesn't void your factory warranty.Even though you have a 330 i hope this was helpfull.

You mean software. OBD2 cars like yours - 1996 and up use software upgrades.

Contact Mark D'Sylva (mark@dsylva-tech.ca) before you decide which software upgrade to get; he is very knowledgeable about this stuff. I got the upgrade on my 97 328 and it was well worth it.
