Help!!!! I bought infinity 6x9's for my '95 740il

I recently bought a pair of infinity 6x9 speakers for the rear deck
of my '95 740il. I was told that the stock speakers were 6x9's, but they apear to be 3 1/2's (2 on each side). Can I still make this work? Is there anyone out there with aftermarket 6x9's in their 740il?
