I'd go 1-12' JLw7, thats what Mike (Koncise) is running and that is freakin LOUD, although his box is not the smallest, the sound more than compensates for the added weight.

W7's are sound quantity over sound quality subs. They are also have massive basket and magnet structures, need as very large box, and weigh a ton. If you are all about being heard a mile away, and pissing off people by blasting bass (IE being a moron) then get a W7 and a JL 1000/1. Else wise I would suggest....

A single 10 or 12 W3v2 is more then enough when setup in a proper box, ported correctly.

i personally have a alpine V12 1000 watt amp with two alpine type R 12's...with alpine 6X9's all around (8) as well as an alpine deck....the subs are in a fairly large ported box and this absolutely POUNDS....keeping in mind that this is in my winter daily driver a 1995 GMC suburban so it is a VERY large truck...this setup ran me about $2100 including taxes and installation...i personally feel that alpione offers the best audio equipment with kenwood and JL close i would go for 2 12's with the right amp in a ported box and yuo should be extremely satisfied anyways CHEERS dude

I think 2 10's in a sealed box is a good idea. It's not to much weight and its not overpowering bass. Or you could put 1 10 in a sealed box facing into your car through the ski pass if you have one?

i have one 12 in my car right now and it sounds good (a 1974 2002) but the drawback is i only get low frequency so wut im doing in throwing in another 2 10's for the punchy bass and imo its gonna sound good as hell.. but dont foget u might need to cap ur subs so u dont fry ur alternator.
